MARASSI AL BAHRAIN TO DONATE ALL PROCEEDS FROM ITS BEACH ENTRY FEES ON OCTOBER 26 TO NON-PROFIT ORGANISATION THINK PINK
Marassi Al Bahrain, the Kingdom's unique waterfront project situated in Diyar Al Muharraq, has announced that all proceeds from Marassi Beach entry fees on Thursday 26 October 2017 will go to local breast cancer charity Think Pink. The donation comes in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which sees a host of breast cancer initiatives across the Kingdom to raise funds and awareness of this worthy cause.
Beach goers will also be given Think Pink merchandise – including caps and wristbands – which they are encouraged to wear during the month of October in order to spread awareness of breast cancer, encouraging women to detect the condition as early as possible.
Dr Maher Al Shaer, Managing Director of Eagle Hills Diyar, commented: “As a company, Eagle Hills Diyar is actively involved in supporting our local community, and helping spread awareness of the work of valuable charities such as Think Pink. We hope that all beach lovers will turn out for this special weekend, and contribute to this cause via their beach entry fees. Think Pink will also be giving an awareness talk to our female staff, who in turn can spread the word of regular check-ups and early detection.”
Marassi Al Bahrain’s beach area regularly hosts community and complimentary activities for the public on holidays and festival days, and has hosted many festivities including a local vendor market, art and photography exhibitions, fitness sessions and watersports. Marassi Beach is also home to a permanent floating water park, cable-wake park and other water sports such as paddle boarding and kayaking.
The project’s scenic Sales Centre, located within the site of Diyar Al Muharraq, showcases interactive models of the mixed-use development for interested buyers. Spanning 865,000sqm, Marassi Al Bahrain will be constructed on the northern shores within the master planned community of Diyar Al Muharraq, forming a key luxury component of Bahrain’s largest private urban project. Set to become one of the Kingdom’s major shopping, family entertainment and dining destinations on its Marassi Al Bahrain Boulevard, the high-end shopping mall, Marassi Galleria, will be 200,000sqm of gross floor area, and will attract the world’s leading brands, many for the first time in Bahrain.
